Value Engineering (VE) is “a creative, organized approach, whose aim is to accomplish Functions, improve quality, enhance performance and optimize the Life Cycle Cost”. The main objective of the value engineering is to reduce project cost without reducing the quality, to address efficiency of design, to identify opportunities for improvement in functionality, to improve facility performance, to optimize value/cost, to enhance the project’s constructability, and in addition of tackling the basis of design and the verification of the proposed design.
